Design/Build: New Construction

Description

The premeir ice rink in the state, the Bradford R. Boss Arena was designed to combine modern amenities within a pastoral campus setting. It is new construction consisting of a 60,000 square foot arena with a 2,500 seating capacity and NHL-sized ice surface. The facility includes eight locker rooms, a pro shop, and a skate rental area. Lusi Construction's input into the design ensured that natural lighting was optimum without affecting the ice quality.
The new ice arena at the Univeristy of Rhode Island is open year-round for university programs, and recreational hockey and figure skating.

Completed in twelve months, on schedule and within budget, the Bradford R. Boss Arena is a landmark project for the University. The structure is masonry, with architechural metal and translucent wall panels.
